Standing Committees
GPNJ currently has 6 active committees working within the organization. Each works independently and meets monthly. All Committee Chairs are members of the State Council, which meets bi-monthly.

Understanding the Executive Committee and Green Council
The state Executive Committee is comprised of the three co-Chairs, Secretary, and Treasurer (the “Officers” of the Party), and the Chair of each Standing Committee.
All officers are elected at the Annual Convention, and serve for terms of one (1) year beginning on June 1 and ending on May 31 the following year.
Green Council, which includes the Executive Committee, Affiliate (local/regional) Coordinators and Caucus Liasons meets twice monthly on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month. All meetings are open to the public, with the exception being “closed sessions” which are not open for public participation.

- Communications – 1st Monday of the month at 8PM
- Elections – 3rd Thursday of the month at 8PM
- Finance – 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:30PM
- Membership – 4th Thursday of the month at 7PM
- Policy – 4th Thursday of the month at 8PM

GPNJ Caucuses
Each State Identity Caucus is open to participation by any GPNJ member in good standing who identifies accordingly. The following Caucuses are established and are empowered to create their own bylaws and rules for undertaking and fulfilling the below listed responsibilities within the limits of GPNJ rules and bylaws.

Black Caucus
The Black Caucus seeks to maximize the participation of people of African and African American descent in the political and policy-making process of the Green Party. It is further to introduce the Ten Key Green Values and the Green Party Platform to the African American community. Learn more about this caucus at blackcaucusgreens.org.

Latin X Caucus
The Latin X Caucus is committed to uplifting and supporting Latinx voices and creating a more diverse, intersectional, and equitable Green Party. They utilize cultural values, experiences, hardships and contributions, not only with one another but within the Green Party. Learn more about this caucus at latinxgreens.org.

Lavender Caucus
The Lavender Caucus promotes issues of interest to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer Intersex, Asexual (LGBTQIA) Greens; and facilitates communication and coordination amongst LGBTQIA individuals and caucuses (or equivalent) within state Green Party organizations. Young EcoSocialists Caucus
Young EcoSocialists serve the needs of youth voters and are consistently forming new chapters, on university/college campuses and city-wide local organizations.
