Training Seminar
On September 12th and 13th, Campus Green Vote and Ozone Action are conducting an intensive training session that will help you run a green campaign on your campus and in your community.
Skills any activist will need:
Coalition building
Working with the the media
Registering green voters
Make the environment a key issue in local and state elections
Getting young people involved in campaigns and elections
Learn the Issues:
Hear about toxic dumping off the coast of NJ and how it was stopped!
Learn more about global climate change.
Identify pressing environmental issues facing New Jersey and how you can help.
Guest Speakers:
Robbie Cox, Vice President of the Sierra Club. A communications professor at UNC-Chapel Hill, Mr. Cox is active on a range of environmental and social issues.
Cindy Zipf, Executive Director of Clean Ocean Action. Clean Ocean Action was key to stopping toxic waste dumping off the shore of NJ.
Kevin Sweeney, Director of Communications for Patagonia. Mr. Sweeney's experience includes working as former Assistant Secretary of the Interior, Press Secretary for US Senator Gary Hart, and a reporter for the CBS Atlanta affiliate.
